Serving at MACC is George and Linda's latest adventure of faith. Their life/ministry journey (it is hard to say where one begins and the other ends) began in Boyertown 30 years ago. After 8.5 years of pastoral ministry there God sent them to Ecuador, South America to work among the Awa people of the Pacific Cloud Forest. Talk about adventures! Better yet, join them on one of the annual trips back to Ecaudor in January.Pioneer missionary life led to mission administration in Ecuador and then to Director of Global ministries at LMUSA. This role took them literally around the world caring for missionaries and those they served. It sounds glamorous. And it was wonderful to meet believers in Micronesia, Africa, and Europe. But George and Linda felt called to serve a local community. After a year and a half of prayer and investigation God clearly led to stay put in Muhlenberg. Along with serving at MACC Linda teaches ESL through Reading Area Community College. George works a couple days a week as a Medical Interpreter at the Reading Hospital. They love being connected with non-Church people through these avenues.Other interests include gardening, singing, working out at LA fitness, soccer, cooking, home repair (for self and others) and making new friends - like maybe YOU!

Worship
Philosophy of Worship To worship is to show someone or something that it is worthy of our praise, our attention, our resources. Whether we mean to or not, all of us are made as worshipers; it is our default mode. We're fond of asking questions about the meaning of life, but the journey we're on is really about who or what we will give ourselves to in worship, and how we will do it. At MACC, we join with thousands of years of worshipers in our belief that God and God alone is worthy of our highest praise. This God, the God of the Bible, has woven an incredible story of redemption into the fabric of human history, a history pocked with suffering and sorrow because of sin. Because of His great love for all people, God has made a way for the broken to be made whole through the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who gave his own blameless life as a payment for the sin of the world! Those who receive the free gift of salvation by putting their trust in him are welcomed into a family that stretches around the world and through the ages, a family called the Church. The Church is not a building or a place or an idea: the Church is you, and the Church is me. It has a special place in God's story and we celebrate together within its unique context, with Jesus as our cornerstone. When MACC gathers, we do so because we have acknowledged that we are made to worship, and we choose to worship Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We sing. We pray. We give of our time, our energy, our resources, our money. We bow our heads and bodies as we submit to Him in reverent expectation. We read and hear the Word of God, which has true power in a world full of empty promises. We encourage each other, we hold each other up, we confess our sins and we forgive. We love each other because God first loved us, and we worship Him by living our lives in a way that brings Him honor. We do these things together once a week, but in our lives we strive to make worship an attitude, a motivation, a purpose. It's not just a thing we do, but the way we choose to do everything! Whether in a moment of quiet prayer or with a shout of ecstatic joy we are saying to God "yes, I am made to worship, and only You are worthy."

Community Involvement
MACC was born out a passion to be the Church, the living, acting body of Jesus, in our community - Muhlenberg Township. We don't think M-berg needs any more church buildings per se, but there is a critical need for people who love God with all their hearts and love the neighbors as themselves. For three years we have been asking God how MACC can best serve the people of Muhlenberg. We believe He is asking us to build a Community Center within walking distance of the Muhlenberg School complex. By faith MACC is on the verge of signing a lease for 15,000 sqare feet of space at the former Empire Steel Building.Lord willing, beginning in the summer of 2010 we will begin the process of converting this old steel mill into a multipurpose gymnasium and worship center. We dream of a place were children, teens and adults of all nationalities, languages and beliefs can gather to share life. A place to play. A place to learn. A place to make friends. A place to be still and know that God is God.If you have read this far maybe you would like to help us make this dream into a reality. We need people who will work alongside us. We need people who will join us in giving away what God has freely given to us. If you would like to learn how you can help. Call 610-921-2999 or write to Pastor George at george@macclife.org
Sunday Celebration
We meet at the Community Center of Urban Acres Mobile Park located at 2461 Elizabeth Ave. Temple, PA 19560 View MapWe start the morning with coffee and conversation at 9:45. The service starts at 10.Church is not a building or a place or time. Church is the people or as Scripture puts it "the body of believers." Community is an important aspect to who we are. Jesus lived in community and shared his life with others. We find value in that and have organized our Sunday Celebrations to focus on Jesus Christ and conversation between his people. We have the opportunity to chat over coffee and some refreshments, and we sit around tables rather than in rows. It's a very casual atmosphere where you can truly come as you are, dress how you want, and be as authentic as possible. The purpose of Sunday morning is to join together and celebrate and share the life and work of Jesus Christ. It's a place to grow, to share in others lives, to serve, and to be challenged. We are a Non-Denominational, Independent church which simply means that we are not governed by any denomination or organization. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs. Simply put, we are a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching church.

A Faith That Can Move Mountains.
MACC Statement of Faith 1. The ScripturesWe believe the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, the complete revelation of God’s will regarding the salvation of humanity, and the supreme and final authority for faith and life. 2. The TrinityWe believe in the mystery of the Holy Trinity, the one true and living God, eternally co-existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in every divine perfection, executing different yet harmonious functions in the work of creation, redemption, and providence, worthy of the same worship and obedience. 3. God the FatherWe believe in God the Father almighty—omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent—Maker of heaven and earth, Who is both immanent to and transcendent above His creation. He is the absolute ruler of the universe and will ultimately receive glory for all things that come to pass. 4. Jesus ChristWe believe that Jesus Christ, God the Son, is fully God and fully man inseparably. He eternally coexists with the Father, was conceived in human form by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of Mary while she was still a virgin. During His earthly life as God incarnate he set aside his right to autonomously exercise His divine attributes; yet He never ceased to possess them. He fulfilled the Messianic prophesies, performed miracles, died on a cross for the sins of all humanity, was buried, raised from the dead, appeared to many, and ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest, Advocate, and Mediator. He will return for His bride, the Church, at any moment and is the appointed Judge of all humanity. 5. The Holy SpiritWe believe that the Holy Spirit, eternally active as the third person of the Trinity, began a completely new ministry among humanity on the Day of Pentecost. His current activities include convicting people concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerating the lost; indwelling, sanctifying, instructing, gifting, and transforming believers into the image of Christ. We believe that at the moment of salvation every believer is baptized into the body of Christ, the Church universal, indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. 6. Human NatureWe believe that humanity was created in the image of God for the glory of God and for eternal fellowship with God, but willfully fell into sin through disobedience to God and thereby experienced not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and that those who reach moral responsibility also become sinners in thought, word and deed. 7. SalvationWe believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on a literal cross for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that His shed blood and bodily resurrection from the dead provide the only ground for justification and salvation from sin. We believe that all who repent of their sin and trust in Christ alone, by faith alone, through grace alone, apart from human effort or merit, are born of the Spirit and become children of God forever. 8. The ChurchWe believe the church is a universal living spiritual body of which Jesus is the Head composed of all people who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. The Church exists to be, and to make, disciples who live in obedience to Jesus’ teachings for the glory of God. This purpose is best fulfilled through local groups of disciples who minister together in mutual submission, according to spiritual giftedness, intentionally practicing the “one another” commands of the New Testament. 9. The Ordinances We believe that Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, both of which proclaim the gospel until He returns: Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Triune God, and Holy Communion is the partaking of the bread and the cup as a commemoration of Christ’s atoning death on the cross. These ordinances may be regarded as signs and seals of God’s grace but not as a means of salvation. 10. Christian ConductWe believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of their neighbors, that their conduct should be blameless before the world and consistent with the values of Scripture, that they should be faithful stewards of their God-given time, talent, and treasures, and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ. We believe every believer is responsible to continually yield to the control of the Holy Spirit in order to experience His direction and empowerment for service. 11. Marriage and LifeWe believe that God created humanity as male and female and from the beginning instituted marriage as the sacred union of one man and one woman with the intention that sexual activity be experienced only within that exclusive relationship. We believe that every human life is a precious gift from God, bearing His image, worthy of protection and life nurturing care from the moment of conception until the moment of death. 12. Spiritual BeingsWe believe that God created a vast, yet finite number of spiritual beings prior to creating man. We believe that Lucifer, the most beautiful of these beings, led others in rebellion against God’s sovereign rule. It is now known as Satan, or the devil, and its followers as fallen angels or demons. It is the god of this age, the adversary of Christ, the enemy of humanity destined to eternal punishment in the lake of fire. We believe that those angels who did not follow its rebellion continue in service to God. 13. The FutureWe believe in the personal, imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds to take His bride, the Church, to be with Him. This "blessed hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. We believe in Jesus Christ’s physical return to earth following seven years of suffering, known as the Tribulation, to establish a literal Kingdom which He will rule with His saints for 1000 years. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
